OPERON have been appointed to undertake the detailed design for all Mechanical and Electrical Services for this traditionally procured building. The site is on the Newark flood plane and, as such, special precautions have been designed regarding the protection of the secure areas and all incoming and external services.

The building comprises both secure and non-secure areas, custody suite, administration and operation areas in addition to all usual utility and plant space.

The custody suite is served via a warm air central plant with all other areas having traditional heating and ventilation from condensing LPHW gas fired boilers and central air handling units.

The site is fully supported by standby power generation, local UPS system to protect vulnerable and secure areas, comprehensive security and monitoring systems, together with all other general electrical services.

All services have been designed in accordance with the Police Design Guide issued by the Home Office to provide an energy efficient facility.
